Taking on the Teenagers – Using Adolescent Energy to Reduce Energy Use

This is an EPSRC (EP/I000720/1, EP/I000437/1, EP/I000550/1, EP/I00064X/1 & EP/I002251/1) grant under the Transforming Energy Demand through Digital Innovation (TEDDI) scheme which will commence in October 2010. This project, lead by at the University of Central Lancashire is also being worked on by the Advanced Interaction Group at the University of Birmingham, the London Knowledge Lab (LKL) at IoE and Birkbeck, the Communication and Cognition Research Centre at the University of Northumbria and the Future Interactive Technology Lab at Swansea University.

This participatory research project will gather stories and data about teenage energy use, will deliver innovative mobile technologies to educate and influence teenagers about energy behaviours and will use teenagers as co-investigators and research projects in designing solutions that will change the habits of a generation.
